Knowing Who Jesus Is

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

God is our Creator, and He is the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and Ending of all things. All things consist because of His divine will. He is manifested in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, three personages, but one holy and omnipotent God. Therefore, Jesus the only begotten Son of God, our Lord and Savior…is God! “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

There is nothing greater in this life that we can acquire or know than God, who by His amazing grace sent His only begotten Son to save us of our sins. It is through Jesus Christ our Lord that we have eternal life. This world is not our home, the hope of every born-again believer is to live eternally. Therefore, we must know and believe without any doubt who Jesus is “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Everything in the bible, God’s love letter to us…points to Jesus and His salvation of mankind. Revelation 1:15-17 state “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”

The fact is we either believe the bible and the testimony of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ or not. Our eternal destiny depends on where our belief lies; prayerfully, you believe and know that Jesus is Lord and Savior and in Him we have abundant and eternal life. He is the Great Shepherd of the sheep, our provider, protector, and lover of our souls!  Every born-again believer can proclaim as David did “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1

My friends we can cast every care of family, home, job, friends, health, or any other determinant that causes worry, doubt, or fear at His feet. Jesus comforts our hearts with these words found in the book of Matthew 11:29-30 “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

When we know Jesus in the pardon of our sins and the amazing grace of God that saves our souls through Him…we have peace that goes far beyond our own comprehension; but without Him life is dark, dismal and headed for eternal damnation. If you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior…today is the day, believe that He is and that He alone has the power to give you eternal life…He is still calling, won’t you answer before it is too late? “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20
