Thy Going Out and Coming In

“The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” Psalm 121:8

As the world continues to search for a sense of “normalcy” we hear recommendations of staying safe from the W.H.O (World Health Organization); CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention.) and other Health officials. Of course, we do know that while those in control of these organizations have been working hard to find answers and have made great strides over the past year; they are still searching for the answer to eradicate the Covid-19 virus. The bottom-line and the ultimate cure and only true safety leads back to the foot of the cross! “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37. He will provide the cure in His own way and time. . . the right time!

The man that puts all his hope and trust in the Lord is kept safe and secure forever. Psalm 121:8 state “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” He alone will keep and guide the footsteps of His beloved children in all that we do in this world and in eternity.

The Lord is the source of our strength and has control of all things in heaven and on earth and our help comes from Him; by faith we must expect Him to provide the safety and security that we need. Let us fervently pray for patience and discernment about what to do and how to do it in all our endeavors. “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3. God is faithful to His promises and He never fails…we can trust in Him!

My friends, the child of God’s future is set and secure; there is nothing that will happen to us that is outside of God’s divine will. We must believe…our faith is able to dominate and dispel the fear that will creep into our hearts in times of weakness, danger, and indecision, so let us cling to the strength and peace that He alone provides.  His wisdom orchestrates everything that concerns us and He lovingly succors and gives us safety when we run under the protective wings of His care. Think on these words as you go along your way today “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalm 91:1. Normalcy equals trusting in the safety of God…let us follow where He leads!

May the peace, safety and amazing grace of God keep us all!
