The Power of the Highest
“For with God nothing shall be impossible” Luke 1:37
We so often encounter things that are outright mind-boggling; things that we simply cannot humanly comprehend as possible. Therefore, can you imagine the mental state of Mary, the mother of our Lord, as an angel spoke unto to her things too perplexing to even rationalize? “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.” Luke 1:31. She, a virgin would bear a child without every knowing a man, how would something like that occur- the angel pointed her directly to the omnipotence of God to orchestrate all things according to His sovereign will “And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:35
God has all power, and He defies all human nature and understanding. . . all things obey His will; the scripture tells us in Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” So, I ask you is there anything troubling you today that seems impossible- then settle it in your heart this very moment that God’s working it out for your good! It does not matter if it is a terminal prognosis from the doctor, mental instability, financial devastation, wayward or lost child, spouse, or loss of all you have humanly accomplished . . . the Power of the Highest, the Alpha and Omega, our Jehovah Jireh is in charge and will deliver you out of this too!
When there appears to be no way out, God will provide a ram for the sacrifice; at the nineth hour one Friday afternoon, He provided the ultimate sacrifice, His beloved Son and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ who shed His blood for the sins of the whole world…and He raised Him from the dead with all power and because He lives whosoever believeth in Him shall have everlasting life!
My friends, the power of the Highest covers us beneath His wings of love and we can rest under the divine protection of His care. Isaiah 30:28-29 gently reminds us that He is eternal and the source of our strength “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”
God blessings and peace, lovingly cast all of your cares on Him now and forever!
