Faithful Witnesses

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

Where is our faith when trouble comes storming at our door – are we putting our faith in action? In life there are days when the sun will shine and likewise, days that it rains; our Christian journey is synonymous to this analogy of the weather, but ask any born-again believer and our testimony will witness to the glory of God, that by His amazing grace our good days far out weigh our bad days! “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations,” Deuteronomy 7:9.

Romans 5:3-5 state “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulations worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Our hope and trust are secure in God. . . He has the ultimate plan, and it is working out for our good!

Trials in our lives forces us to put our faith in action; as we wait on the things that God has promised, we grow and become stronger in our faith, boldly witnessing to the great things that God has done and His amazing grace towards us all.

Experience has been said to be a great teacher; life’s circumstances are God’s opportunities to use us as His vessels; as His witnesses we must show and tell the world that we serve the one and only true and living God! Acts 1:8 state “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Are we willing to be faithful witnesses to the goodness of God, no matter what? His tender mercies has brought us safe this far; Let us put our faith into action today, standing firm on His Word and being the lights that we have been recreated to be in this dark world “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:” Ephesians 5:8.

I am a living witness to the power of Almighty God; He has kept me for over 25 years as a kidney transplant recipient, numerous surgeries, and illnesses. But, my friends, I must testify that my good days truly outweigh my bad days; He is my healer, deliverer, protector, provider . . .  my guiding light and my joy early every morning! No, I do not know what tomorrow holds, but I know who holds tomorrow; I have come this far by faith and my anchor holds and grips the solid rock, which is Jesus! What about yours?

God blessings of peace and grace be with you all…stand up and be a witness!
