For Thou Art with Me
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4
Invisible is defined as that which is unable to be seen, transparent or undetectable by the natural eye. We encounter some pretty daunting things in this life that seem to appear out of nowhere…and never ending, but as dismal as that may sounds, those of us who have been born-again, know that our hope, peace and protection has always been and still lies in the power, presence, and protection of our invisible and Almighty God! Psalms 23:4 states “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4.
Invisibility to the natural eye… is not all inclusive, praise God we walk by faith and not by sight – we have an ever-present Comforter, Helper, and Succorer . . . in the Holy Spirit who guides and keeps us safe; and yes, in those times when the mountains seem impossible to climb, we can cling to the promise that we are never alone, for the Lord has promised “and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” Matthew 28:20b.
As God’s beloved children we can rest assured in His promises- knowing that whatever challenges we may be facing today and or even unbeknown to us… headed our way tomorrow! His amazing grace is sufficient to sustain and keep us forever! “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.
So, let us resolve to faithfully release every thought, care and concern over to our all wise and invisible God; we may not see Him, but we can certainly experience the mighty works of His hands as He heals, provides, protects, and carries us safely through the trials of life, and we can say as David said, “I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” His abiding love is comforting and giving our souls the very peace that we need to press on and never give up!
Blessings and peace, may you trust in Him who will not leave you… but hold to God’s unchanging hands!
