Living a Blessed Life

“O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” Psalm 34:8.

This world defines being blessed as having great wealth, fame, and social status. Well, who would not want the bank account overflowing, a prestigious job, and all the other things that this life can afford? But fortunately, that is not what constitute a blessed life; Psalm 84:12 state “O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.” Blessings only come from God . . . “O taste and see that the Lord is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!” Psalm 34:8.

We can obtain acquire wealth, friends, success and still not walk a blessed life. The man who is blessed seeks after the Lord, walks in His statues and desires to be used for His glory. Regardless to what the world affords us…all good things come from God…James 1:17 state “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Absolutely nothing satisfies the soul but our Creator . . . in Him we have all that we need now and in eternity; life is fleeting and the older we get, the more we realize that the things of this world will fade. The intimate relationship that we have with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is far beyond anything that this world can offer and is the only thing that is eternal. “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” Matthew 6:20

So, are you seeking to be blessed? Give your all to Jesus and trust in His amazing grace to do miraculously things in and through you… have confidence in His unconditional love and trusting in His goodness no matter what comes or not. The truth is all that I have God gave me, all that I know God has taught me and praise God that where I am nobody, but God Almighty has brought me!

“I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalm 37:25. God has and will always provide, protect, heal, and bless His beloved children. He is the only way to living a blessed life.

God blessings and peace be with you always.
