Blessings According to Faith

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

We all have expectations or the earnest desire of certain things we want to happen; that is what we call hope. These hopes and desire are not visible to our natural eye and are beyond our grasp, or untouchable; there would be no reason for hope if we already possessed what we need. But Romans 8:24-5 state “For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.?”

Every born-again believer’s faith must be anchored in our Sovereign and Almighty God. Faith in God brings spiritual life to the unseen and He has the power to give reality to all that appear impossible. ”Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

In John chapter eleven, Jesus redirects Martha’s apprehension and unbelief at the grave of Lazarus, when He commands that the stone be taken away from his grave, she protested because his body would have certainly deteriorated by this time and there was nothing that could be done…she had already confirmed by faith that her brother would raise again in the resurrection at the last day. But she had Jesus who is the resurrection and the life standing in her midst…and nothing is impossible with God. “Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”

What are you hoping for today-are you believing and placing your hope in God? Faithfully place it all in the hands of the One who can calm the raging sea; He simply says “peace be still”  and even the winds and the waves obey His will.” We have access through Jesus Christ our Lord, to the blessings of God’s amazing grace, and it is sufficient for all that we need. Romans 5:2 state “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”

Let us rejoice in the hope of God’s glory, He is faithful to every single promise. Anything that we ask according to His will, He will give us. 1 John 5:14-15 state “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

My friends, Jesus is our hope for today and every tomorrow…His shed blood on Calvary’s Cross and resurrection from the grave is the evidence and proof that grounds our faith. Let us hold steadfast to the profession of our faith and believe in His power; there is absolutely nothing too hard for God… your blessing in on the way. . . only believe.

I can hear my pastor singing these words:

He’a battle axe (In the time of battle)

He’a battle axe (In the time of battle)

He’a battle axe (In the time of battle)

Oh, he’s (A shelter in the time of storm)

God blessings and peace be with you all is well!
