“Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” Isaiah 28:16

If you say that something is a sure thing, you mean that you are certain that it will happen or be successful. In these days and times due to the current world health status there is very little that you can say is a sure thing anymore.

Unfortunately, there are millions who feel a sense of hopelessness as to what tomorrow will bring. Statistics for substance abuse, suicide, and mental depression to name a few have spiked to an all-time high. So, where do you turn and to whom do you listen? The political leaders, the world health organization, the news media are providing supposedly “the answer” to the current pandemic and are not unable to give it to us. Things appear to be quite dismal…where in lies our hope for the future?

I am here to constantly remind all those under the sound of my small voice that there is hope in GOD! He is the one true and living God and He has divine providence over heaven and earth. Romans 8:32 points us to God for the foundation of our hope “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things”

If God by His unconditional love and amazing grace sent His only begotten Son into this world, who died and excruciating death on the cross for our sins, and on the third day morning was raised by His almighty power that we may have eternal life . . . won’t He give us all things- even the answers and cure to a world pandemic? Our hope lies on a sure foundation “Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” Jesus Christ our Lord, God’s only begotten Son is our sure foundation, and all hope is found in Him.

Our God is faithful and true and we can rest assured that “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.” and cling to the peace found in these words “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10.

God hears, He sees, and He knows “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:2. He will answer our cries for deliverance in His own time and He will strengthen us to run this race with courage. He is our protection and deliverer!

In the meantime, we must heed His words in 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” He is faithful that promised. Pray, listen, and obey. Our hope is built on a sure foundation… nothing less than Jesus’ blood and His righteousness!
