The Breaking Point

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

Are you facing any obstacles today that seem insurmountable? There comes a point in life when we’re oblivious as to which way to turn. You find yourself asking questions like, how can I do this or pleading for strength to make it through one more day.

Just when we think that we can’t go any further and we feel that we’re definitely at the end of our rope; that’s the very point where we step out of self and let go. In today’s scripture God commands Joshua “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9.

The Lord appointed Joshua to succeed Moses to lead the Israelites into the Promise Land. Over and over God provided encouragement, assurance and direction to Joshua. His words to Joshua still stand for us today; He will always provide divine direction for His children.

His Word provides strength when we need it the most; it reminds us of His faithfulness to provide, protect, and be with us always. Our obedience brings assurance of success in whatever He has commanded us to do.

So, when you get to the breaking point just STOP:

Seek Him in prayer – (Release it to God)

Trust in His promises- (He is faithful and true)

Obey and follow His commands- (Success is assured when we walk in His will)

Praise him for the victory- (Give Him the honor and glory in all things)

The scripture reminds us in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.” It is Christ that lives in us and provides the power to run this Christian race; let us learn to let go of our fears and allow God to keep us in perfect peace.

May God’s loving-kindness keep you in peace today and always.
