It is Enough
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
I can recall being a young kid and going to O’Steens Drug Store every single day. They had a food counter were my older sister Harriet worked. They sold short order items like hamburgers and ice cream. My favorite order was a strawberry and vanilla ice cream cone and the cost at that time was twenty-six cents! I can remember many days riding my bike to the store and counting my little dimes and pennies to make sure I had just enough to buy my double dip ice cream cone.
The feeling of coming up short whether it is a kid’s ice cream cone or an adult’s concern for an insurmountable challenge, is discouraging for the person whose resources and power are insufficient. In this life there are many times when we exhaust all that we have and have done all that we can possibly do; at that very moment we must let go and let God handle the outcome.
The Word of God reminds us that when we find ourselves completely powerless, that He will give us all the grace and strength that we need to run this Christian race “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9. It is enough!
God’s amazing grace heals and comforts our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls. Scripture states that His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses. In times when we feel as though we might throw in the towel; He shows up and provides the strength and sinew to persevere; we must never give up . . . the power that lies within us is far greater than the power that lurks around us. God’s grace gives us the all that we need to hold on and cling to the mighty hand of God.
It is impossible to explain how God gives us peace that surpasses all understanding, the sweet peace that calms and reassures our souls that all is well; Zechariah 4:6 state “Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Through the power of the Holy Ghost, we can endure whatever challenges we must face in this life.
Finally, let us take to heart the word of the Lord in Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
When God provides, whether physical, spiritual, or mental it is enough. Stand still and watch how His amazing grace will succor and see you through now and forever!
God blessings of peace and love be with us all.
