Prove Me Now

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10.

A conditional clause indicates circumstances under which another clause is true or occurs. It is the ‘if’ part of an ‘if-then’ statement. In the Word of God there are set both unconditional and conditional clauses to His commands. Malachi 3:10 provides for us an account of a conditional clause given to the House of Israel.

Malachi 3:7-10 gives us the account of Israel’s rebellion and disobedience in following God’s ordinances. But God lovingly gives a conditional clause in the tenth verse… “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Malachi 3:10,

The condition was if they would, bring the tithes, offerings required of them by the Lord, into His house, they would be showered with spiritual blessings from heaven. The word of God state, they were to prove, meaning to establish the truth, genuineness, or validity of His promise; the value of a promise is as good as the promiser.

Therefore, when our Almighty and Everlasting God makes a promise, just as they could back then, so can we rest in the assurance that it He is faithful and true to His word! “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19.

Is God calling on you to prove Him in an area in your life today? Choose to trust in His omnipotence and unconditional love…He has only the best instore for all His beloved children …I am a living witness and must testify that God has and will always exceed our greatest expectations; and I am more than confident, that regardless to how fierce the winds of life may blow, God will faithfully deliver us! “And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” Isaiah 46:4.

God blessings of peace, strength, and amazing grace keep us all
