Our Loving Heavenly Father
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12.
When was the beginning? We have no earthly idea, but what we do know, by faith is that God is the beginning of all things. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1. Our faith is not found or based on a whimsical fantasy conjugated in our minds…but, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God! So, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” Genesis 1:1. That settles it!
The understanding of God-Elohim the Creator of all things is an impossible feat for a mere mortal to conceptualize…but because the Lord God Almighty is loving, and merciful and has created us to live in relationship and fellowship with Him … He has made a way for man to relate to Him in the past, present and future- through the personages of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8.
God shed His amazing grace on all men through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and if we believe on His name, accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, we become sons of God. “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12.
And because we are the sons of God… we can come to our Father as His little children- humble, faithful, and trusting, assured that He hears our call! Jeremiah 33:3 reminds us “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
What’s on your heart to lay at the mercy seat today- Our Father is the Great I Am…He provides, keeps, and sustains us-He is closer than the very air that we breathe; therefore, when we pray…give us this day our daily bread; we may not know which way He will answer, but we can stand on His promises, confident that He will come through!
Let us walk in the sweet peace of knowing that our Heavenly Father is working all things out for our good; He knows, He cares, and He will keep us safe and secure in His everlasting arms!
Blessings and peace to you all!
