Keep Looking Up
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2
Growing in grace is a phrase I heard from my mom quite often, and I have learned through age that it is through life experiences- every trial and tribulation that God grows us, gives us grace and molds us according to His will; and through it all my friends, we learn to lean and depend on Jesus! 2 Corinthians 12:9 validates the sufficiency of God’s grace for us all “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
So, when life sends a little rain sometimes and the clouds loom heavy; let us keep looking up…David wrote in the 121st Psalm… “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2. Our hope and trust are anchored in the Lord; He is faithful and trustworthy!
Jesus knows our every weakness and if we take it to Him in prayer, we will find in Him the peace, love and help that no one, absolutely no one else can provide . . . today, I admonish you to lay aside any weight or care that may burden your heart; and for this very moment…in the stillness of your secret place, meditate on the comforting words found in the 121st Psalm, recognizing that even when it appears that all our hope is gone…we can look to the author and finisher of our faith…Jesus our Lord!
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in
from this time forth, and even for evermore. Psalm 121
Keep looking unto the hills, the Lord God Almighty God is our keeper now and for ever; He is intimately ours in whom we can call at anytime –abba, Father; the only One that we can place total confidence in, and He will deliver… for nothing will ever separate us from His love!
God blessings of grace, and sweet peace, be with you all.
