Just Before Dawn!
“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5.
In 1650, the English theologian, Thomas Fuller penned the phrase, “the darkest hour is just before dawn;” exactly what was the theologian conveying? I surmise that it is certainly a comforting word to remind us that no matter how dark the night, rough the road…there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel. The word of the Lord puts it like this: “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5.
When we know whose we are…in times of trouble, we can come to his throne of grace and readily pour our hearts out as one who is totally depleted of any resources; appearing as one who has lost something most valuable, so we seek and knock so vehemently that the man of the house must come to open the door… praise God that we can be confident in knowing that He will answer the pleas of all His beloved children.
Trials and tribulations are apart of this life…but meditate on these words written for our comfort in Psalm 34:19 “Many are the afflictions of the righteous: But the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
My friends, faith is the path that we travel to the foot of the cross… God all is all in all-therefore, we can settle it in our hearts, whatever we need, no matter how rough the road, even the greatest of concerns… it is already done! For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Luke 1:37. Hallelujah!
So, if you happen to be shedding tears at this very moment, body racking in pain, fear, anxiety or uncertainty has gripped your heart…look up towards the hills from whence cometh our help…and rest in the assurance that this too shall pass… the Lord God Almighty is lovingly navigating you through wherever you are in life, His promises are faithful and true…and He will keep you safe in His everlasting arms! “
God blessings of peace and assurance that joy comes in the morning!
