Forgiveness Freely Given!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life “ John 3:16.

David wrote Psalm 130 from a penitent heart; waiting on God in hopes of His divine grace and lovingkindness to provide forgiveness. We too must come humble and submissive before Him seeking mercy and forgiveness; the bible specifically tells us “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23.

Every born-again believer knows what a privilege it is to call on God amid our deepest fears and iniquities… and He is so gracious and loving that His tender mercies are new every morning! “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.

Thanks be to God, that one Friday afternoon, the bible tells us at the nineth hour, Jesus died on the cross for the propitiation of our sins and only by His grace are we are no longer guilty as charged!

This same amazing grace gives us that privilege to come before His throne of grace bearing our heartfelt repentance. God’s patience and forbearance towards us is a display of His unconditional love, He forgives all our iniquities and freely shines His grace on all who will receive Him. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16.

The fact is we all came into this world “messed up” born into sin… unworthy to live in the presence of God; but repentance is the first step in salvation, and for this all men, women, boys, and girls can turn to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; it His atoning blood that has made the only way for us to live in a right relationship with our Heavenly Father; and we can trust in His faithfulness to forgive and give everlasting life! “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” 1 John 3:1.

My friends, if you are out of the safety of God’s grace and have not accepted His call of salvation; then today is the day… tomorrow just may be too late…let Him into your heart! “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20. Jesus is waiting to welcome you back home!

God blessings and amazing grace be with us all!
