Are You Desensitized to Sin?
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
Desensitized is defined as the act of being nonreactive or without tender feelings, showing a lack of sympathy or compassion for another. Unfortunately, if we are not careful, it can happen to anyone of us; but this should not be the attitude of God’s beloved children about sins committed by others. The Bible teaches admonishes us with these words “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1.
The first question we need to ask ourselves when we decide to become judge and jury to somebody else- is whose servant is he or she- and just thought you might need to know…the answer is certainly not ours! God is sovereign, Psalm 24:1 teaches us that “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.” That covers it, all things belongs to Him, and when we step outside of the box and get into righting the affairs of another man, we are dangerously trying to play God, He is the only judge and Potentate…and we will all stand before His Throne one day.
We all know right from wrong, and when we find someone who seriously errors from the right path; it is our duty to gently guide them in the truth, not talking about it to others and pulling them down; when we deface the character of others, it is an act of lifting ourselves up… let us never forget that we all have and still do sin; we are just one breath away from our own lives making a drastic change and possibly finding ourselves fallen by the wayside. “For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.” James 1:23-24.
When speaking to and about others, let us examine ourselves…is the message that we are sending, kind, necessary or true? We are to love one another, not hurt or seek to destroy the witness of others. 1 Peter 4:8 admonishes us “And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8.
So today, if we find someone sinking deep in sin, let us pray above all things for the grace of God to cover and guide them; it is impossible to go before God in fervent prayer for ourselves and not pray for others. God has no respect of persons; He is our Father…and He loves us one and all. Scripture teaches us to “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16.
Let us pray for Christ to dwell richly in each of our hearts…living peaceably with all men, learning to forgive, uplift and be a light of compassion in the lives to others. Finally, the words in Colossians 3:12-13 reminds us to “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.”
May God help us all to walk the talk, being witnesses of His goodness and mercy in all that we do.
God blessings and unconditional love be with us all.

Good morning to All. I really enjoy the fact that my daughter and I were just talking about this that we should give more grace to people and stop trying to be so “super spiritual”. Lifestyle evangelism is a daily walk with God and sharing his word with others and allowing them to make the necessary moves…
