He’s An On Time God!

“And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.” Genesis 24:15

When I think the necessity of being on time; my mind goes to my great-aunt Josephine Copeland. She was an RN for Germantown Hospital for as long as I can remember. Snookie was wonderful, but outright slow, she had absolutely no concept for time . . . the one day that she arrived to work on time, she slipped up the stairs to the entrance and broke both her legs- so ultimately, she was still late!

All humans have faults and are subject ot fall short at anytime, whether it is in reference to time, talents or treasures…but I am so glad to be a witness that God is never late-He is an on time God! “The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26.

Let me provide another witness for you- over in the Book of Genesis chapter twenty-four, we find the account of Abraham’s faithful servant Eliezer. Abraham sent Eliezer to seek out and find the bride that God had appointed for his only son Isaac. Eliezer set out on his journey, he stopped at a well in Mesopotamia and kneeled to pray for God’s guidance and insight. He specifically asked God to show him the young damsel that would be the bride for Isaac.

The scripture tells us “And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.” Genesis 24:15. God is amazing and goes beyond our greatest imagination; before Eliezer had even finished speaking or praying …God sent the answer!

Is there a pressing need on your heart today? God hears the sincere cries of His children. Jeremiah 33:3 states “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” God is faithful to His promises and His mercy extends towards us every day. It does not matter how small or great we feel our need is …He will come through exactly when we need it the most. “And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.” Mark 10:27.

Rest in this truth-when things seem far beyond what we can humanly reach; we can fully rely on God!  He knows exactly what we need, and He is faithfully working behind the scenes, and while we are fervently praying for Him to make a way out of no way…He steps in does just that!

So, as you begin this new day, cast every care at the foot of the cross…lay aside your worries, anxieties and fears,  remembering that God is never late, but right on time. “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24.

God blessings and peace, remember that He is always on time!
