Trusting in the Lord

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6.

What do you do when everything that you know to be true and aligns with the guiding light of the Holy Spirit is tested-those are the very times that we must run to the foot of the cross and cling to our faith, following the divine instructions found in Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Trust and rely on the truth-which is the word of God and and remain confident in the Lord, who orders the steps of all of us who are called by His name- that my friends is an assurance that stands true now and forever! But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.” Isaiah 43:1.

When the that old archenemy of our souls sends subtil messages that we are not good enough, we don’t have enough, we aren’t strong enough, we don’t know enough, we are on the wrong path or that we will never make it…let us refuse to believe the lie- nothing and no one can thwart the plans that our Heavenly Father has for us…so let us take up our sword and stand our ground in the faithful promise of the Lord. 1 Peter 4:12-13 admonishes us: “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” 1 Peter 4:12-13.

No, this journey that we travel home is not one of ease…the road does not start at ground zero and follow a vertical line straight up to Heaven…but we encounter pathways that are up, down, some with twist and turns and some that are barely visable-times when we just can’t see our way through. . . but  we must keep the faith, stay on our knees in prayer and never lose hope knowing that we have the victory in Jesus!  “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Because” Romans 8:37.

Finally, let us remember that this battle is not ours…but  the Lords-always trusting in that Great Shepherd of the sheep, the Lord God Almighty to keep us safe and secure in body, mind and spirit forever! “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4.

Blessings, peace, stength and God’s amazing grace be with you all!
