Used by God!

“Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.” Luke 13:18-19.

“Every testimony brings something of heaven into the atmosphere. It gives us a divine moment when things shift and are transformed because the record of God’s activity is revealed’. (Defining Moments: Bill Johnson).”

I surmise that the if the prayers of all God’s beloved children could be heard and seen, it would filled the world over from one end to the other…and yet not be enought to give praise, honor, and glory to God! So, it is with a humbled heart that the true believer and lover of God pray to be used by God. From a human standpoint- we readily imagine great and outstanding acts of service to use our God given time, talents, and treasures. Especially knowing the Word of the Lord that reminds us in Ephesians 3:20. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

But my friends…unknown to us God has innumerable ways to use our lives for His glory. This truth sends me straight to Isaiah 64:8 that humbles the spirit before our Great and Almighty God! “But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.”

Let me ask you how many times have you heard what God has done for others, and their deliverance becomes the blessing that releases faith way down deep in your soul-knowing in your heart that He can do those same things for you- or a thought in the wee-hours of the morning to pray for someone, a call, or note sent with a piece of money inside….that’s God my friends…using us to witness and open the doors of hope, peace, and increased faith to someone along this journey of life!

I recently received a response to one of my daily post…the individual expressed feelings of fear, pain an was overwhelmed with a sense of urgency for God’s comfort…the blessings is that she wrote that a word of God’s unfailing comfort and peace reached her from the message at that moment. That response stirred my soul…and sent me to my knees in humbled submission to be faithful and obedient to His call! But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:20-21.

What a Great and Almighty God we serve…He knows just how to get us a message when we need it the most! We have no idea how far our testimonies will reach or how, or even when God will place us in the right place at the right time to be used as His chosen vessel- it is His divine providence that’s  working a good work in each one of us-my friends let us remain faithful and obedient  to His call! “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6.

And yes…when the mountains seem insurmountable to climb… that’s just when God is working behind the scenes, exactly where you are at this very moment and whatever you are going through…it is a divine appointment for you to be used for His glory! “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.

In Luke chapter thirteen Jesus uses the parable of a mustard seed to show how our lives through His power yields more than we can even imagine!

Are you praying to be used by God? Be encouraged-He is faithful and is doing great and marvelous things through your life for the upbuilding of His Kingdom!

God blessings of peace and His amazing grace be with you all!
