Yielding to God’s Will
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” Eph. 3:17
Christ lives in the heart of every believer by faith so that we may know His love. The apostle Paul in Ephesians 3:17 use the word dwell in which denotes the act of inhabiting and delving deep down inside.
As we surrender and walk by the Holy Spirit, Christ settles down and becomes at ease in our lives; He enjoys the relationship wat a trusting child. This oneness with Him brings us joy and peace beyond comprehension.
When trusting God is our primary focus, several things will be evident in our daily walk:
- We yield to Him- open and ready to accept His leading.
- Surrendering our all – we finally submit to His will being done and not our own.
- Striving to obey Him unconditionally – half obedience to the Lord is actually disobedience.
- Seek to follow where He leads- walking by faith and not by sight; recognizing that He knows the path that we should follow.
- Doing what honors Him the most. – letting go and allowing His light to shine through us for His glory.
- Continuously giving Him praise, honor and glory for His amazing grace – living with thankful hearts for all that He has done and will do from now throughout eternity.
Yielding to God’s will is an act of trust; may we let go and surrender our wills to His and watch how His peace, love and strength grow us. Isaiah 30:15 (KJV) states–“ For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.” Trust the Lord today, He’s faithful and true to His promises; strength to walk this journey of life is found only in Him.
God’s mercy and grace be with us always.
