Answered Prayer

“Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”1 Kings 20:5

God hears the cries of his children. Prayer is one of the most valuable resources that we possess. It gives us strength, courage, and hope for every tomorrow. There are numerous examples of God answering the prayers of His beloved saints in the bible.

One example is the prayer of Hezekiah when he was sick unto death; even as he wept, the Lord was answering his prayer; God spoke to the prophet Isaiah as he was leaving the temple to turn around and go give Hezekiah a word. “Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.”1 Kings 20:5.

Are you fervently seeking for your prayers to be answered today- then scripture tells us to abide in the Lord– to abide in Christ means to intentionally remain in an ever-growing relationship with Him that transforms our character to be more like His; therefore, our thoughts are aligned with His will . . . then whatever we ask shall be done! “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7.

Our God is omnipotent and Sovereign…He knows our every thought, need and desire. He will answer our calls. We know by experience that sometimes He answers yes, no or wait; but He is faithful to answer every call. Remember this . . .  our tears are only temporary, just as He did for Hezekiah, the same, almighty, and compassionate Lord will meet us at the place that we need Him the most.

Let us humbly bow before God and thank Him for every answered prayer now and in the future. Our God is great, and He is worthy to be praised!
