Earth Has no Sorrow that Heav’n Cannot Heal
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.” Isaiah 40:1.
This life’s journey can be hard sometimes my friends. I just stopped to remind those with wounded hearts, and the absence of a loved one today that earth has no sorrows that heaven cannot heal. God hears and He knows the cries of His children. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. Remember that His strength is always present, and able to keep and guide us through the darkest of circumstances.
The love of God and His comforting grace fully heal the hurt and pain…those of us who are faithful family and friends, earnestly try to share words of comfort and encouragement; in fact, we have been there, and some are even there at this very moment; but our Heavenly Father, who is merciful, full of grace, and the God of all comfort, loving wipes away every shed tear, and never forget… He has promised to never put more on any of us than we can humanly bear.
Thomas Moore wrote these comforting words:
Earth Has no Sorrow that Heav’n Cannot Heal
Come ye, disconsolate
Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish,
Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel.
Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorruow that heav’n cannot heal.
God’s peace and unconditional love gives us the ability to endure in times of loss and heartache; His blessed assurance comforts, keeps, and reminds us of His eternal care for all His beloved children “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3.
So, my dear friends, when your heart is aching the most, cling to the mercy seat of God . . . cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you. He will heal your broken heart and give you strength to walk this journey one day at a time. “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” He is the God of all comfort.
God’s sustaining grace and comfort to all.
