Comfort through Trials and Tribulations
““Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4-6.
In times like these, an uplifting word, prayer, or kind deed is needed to guide us along our way… but there is nothing greater than the comfort, peace, and strength that we receive from the Lord; praise God that absolutely nobody can do me like Jesus- my friends there is sweet peace, and a wonderful rest to be found at the foot of cross! “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew” 11:28.
Jesus is our safe place and Comforter in all of our trials and tribulations. 2 Corinthians 1:4 states that blessings and honor goes to Him who is our Deliverer! “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4-6.
It is encouraging to remember that we are not in this fight alone…the little “god” of this world, the enemy of our souls, that old devil called Satan…is out to devour every beloved child of God; but hold on-the power that lives within us, the Holy Ghost, gives us the victory to win, and we will not be defeated! Scripture admonishes us to resist Satan’s subtle blows “Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”
So, when the cares of this life begin to wear you down…remember, that everyone is going through something, let us take the time to share an encouraging word, send a note, a text or drop a card in the mail. Be a blessing today and make someone else’s path on this journey called life, just a little bit easier to walk! “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” 1 Peter 4:12, 13.
And above all, let us keep our minds on Jesus, humbly acknowledging His loving plans to work things out and keep us safe through all of our trials and tribulations!
J-E-S-U-S
J-esus brings me here by His will in this straight place; in that will I rejoice.
E-ven here He will keep me “in His love” and give me “grace and glory”
S-urely, He will make the trial “a blessing.” Teaching me lessons He wants me to learn.
U-nder the trial I will be quiet; for in His good time He will bring me out. Just how and when, only He knows best.
S-o, then I am here by God’s appointment, in His keeping, under His training, for His time, that I may glorify Him, and comfort others. -Unknown.
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.
May God’s grace strengthen and keep us in perfect peace.
