Hope, Love and Faith

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

I cannot imagine living without God. Every born- again believer can face the unknown by experiencing the comforting peace and love of our risen Savior. It is His power that propels us to walk this journey of life in peace. When the dark clouds arise in our lives … the word tell us to find the joy of the Lord by “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.

Walking by faith is what sustains us when we have no human understanding of what we are encountering at the moment.  But we know who holds our future and directs our footsteps from now throughout eternity.  “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1. Our faith gives spiritual visibility to that which is physically invisible. The hope of every born-again believer is to live in peace with God eternally.

So, while we wait in this present existence; the Holy Spirit produces certain graces in our lives or fruit that will provide the strength and peace that we need to run this Christian race victoriously. “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” Let us take a look at these three spiritual blessings:

Faith in Jesus Christ our Lord gives us salvation and reconciles us back to God. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” Ephesians 2:8. The amazing grace of God helps us to persevere and wait on His promises!

Hope: Romans 5:2 states “By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” We can stand in the face of adversity and pain because we have access to the blessing of eternal life that Jesus our Lord has brought to us; therefore, we walk not as those who have no hope…but by faith, standing steadfast and unmovable on the promises of God. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.“

Charity is love, and God is Love, He loves us so much that He manifested Himself in the flesh and became the propitiation for our sins…all so that we may have free access and the right to the tree of life-that’s love- my friends, all things concerning His beloved children are physically and spiritually sustained by and through Him; He is the light, comfort, peace, and love that dispels all of the dark corners in our lives. “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16. . .  And one day we will behold our Savior face to face; faith and hope will no longer be needed, but love will last forever.

All of God’s children travel this journey by faith, hope, and love; we are sealed until the day of redemption by the Holy Ghost, our comforter, guide, and succorer… though the road gets rough, and the mountains are pretty hard to climb sometimes, we can trust in the faithfulness of God!

Blessings, love, and peace to all.
