“Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.” Luke 13:18-19.

“Every testimony brings something of heaven into the atmosphere. It gives us a divine moment when things shift and are transformed because the record of God’s activity is revealed’. (Defining Moments: Bill Johnson).”

I surmise that the if the prayers of all God’s beloved children could be heard and seen, it would show us continuously seeking to be used for His glory… and from a human standpoint- when we pray this prayer, thoughts arise of ways that the Holy Spirit guides us in the use of our God given time, talents, and treasures.“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.

But my friends…unknown to us God has innumerable ways to use our lives for His glory. This truth sends me straight to Ephesians 3:20 that tells us: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” –

Let me ask you how many times have you heard what God has done for others, and their deliverance becomes the blessing that releases faith way down deep in your soul-knowing in your heart that He can do those same things for you? That’s God my friends…using the life experiences of someone to witness and open the doors of hope, peace, and increased faith to you!  “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.

Let me share one incident that gave evidence to my heart that God does incredible things to use us for His glory …my previous endocrinologist, a wonderful physician and sister in Christ, came in to the room on one of my visits and started sharing how she placed the book that I gave to her in the waiting room- and sure enough another patient came in one day very tearful and shared how she picked up the book and read a message that touched her heart and help bring comfort in her extenuating circumstances.

God knows just how to get us a message when we need it the most. We have no idea how far our testimonies reach- but what we do know is that God has divine providence and is working a good work in each one of us! “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6.

Yes…He is working behind the scenes, exactly where you are this very moment and whatever you are going through, is a divine appointment for you to be used by God!

In Luke chapter thirteen Jesus uses the parable of a mustard seed to show how our lives through His power yields more than we can even imagine! “Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.” Luke 13:18-19.

Are you praying to be used by God? Be encouraged-He is faithful and is doing great and marvelous things through your life for the upbuilding of His Kingdom!
