He is Risen!
” And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.” Mark 16:6.
God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!
Sunday the first day of the week, is the day that Christians all over the world worship and reverence God for His amazing Grace and gift of eternal life through His only begotten Son Jesus Christ our Savior! the song writer states surely He died on Calvary’s Cross-but the good news is that early on the third day morning He rose from the grave and because of His resurrection power-to God be the Glory that He Lives! “And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.” Mark 16:6.
The Bible tells us that early on that third day morning the women went to prepare His body but was met with some astounding news- a promise had been fulfilled – He had risen just as He has told them! “He is not here, but is risen: remember he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,” Luke 24:6.
Jesus paid it all on Calvary’s cross so that He would defeat the penalty of sin which is eternal damnation. His death was a substitution for our death and eternal separation from God. He triumphantly rose from the grave so that we could have forgiveness of our sins and receive everlasting life.
I am so glad that His finished work on the cross has opened the way from earth to Heaven…let us tell it, shout it, sing it, write it…that He Lives forever- praise God…He holds the future, and life is worth the living, Just because He lives!
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” 2 Corinthians 15:55.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life….“Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6.
Sunday morning and every single day of our lives- we must give praise, honor and glory to God for what He had done for. us- and yes…because He lives we can face every tomorrow with hope and assurance that those of us who have accepted Him as our Lord and Savior has everlasting life!
Blessings and peace for a wonderful day- this is the LORD’s Day!
