“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7

The element of time is the continued sequence of events that occurs in an irreversible progression from the past, through the present, into the future. Time was created and is controlled by our eternal and all wise God for our existence. As finite beings, not knowing what lies ahead can simply blow our minds sometimes; but every child of God has this consolation or comfort, that we have an anchor of the soul that holds our future safe and secure…His name is Jesus! “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;” Hebrews 6:19.

The old gospel hymn states: Yesterday’s gone sweet Jesus and tomorrow may never be mine…so for my sake teach me to take one day at a time. Through faith in God and His promises, we can spiritually see those things that are invisible to the natural eye. The bible tells us “(For we walk by faith, not by sight.)” 2 Corinthians 5:7.

Since there is no security in the constraints of time as we know it … then there must be a hope that far exceeds what we see in this finite existence. God through His amazing grace provides that hope to all who will believe; Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God, is the way, the truth and the life; He left Heaven and came down to this old dusty world, was crucified, bled, died and by the power of Almighty God was resurrected from death unto life, and because He lives… we have the right to eternal life; that is the hope of every born-again believer, to live with Him forever!

We can have confidence in the faithfulness of His promises to keep us safe in His everlasting arms forever; “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10.

My friends, we are empowered to conquer the unknown by walking in the promises, security, and unconditional love of God! He will never forsake us, and His word promises that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, we can rest in the assurance that absolutely nothing can separate us from His love! “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39.

I am not sure about you…but my anchor holds and grips the solid rock! Jesus knows all about our troubles and He will faithfully provide, protect and keep us in perfect peace now and forever!
